  • 🦷 Learn how to assess occlusion clinically, including TMJ and masticatory muscle examinations.

  • 📋 Gain confidence in recording centric relation (CR) and other occlusal records accurately.

  • 🛠️ Hands-on practical sessions such as occlusal examination, CR registrations, facebow records, and splint assessment/fitting.

  • 🔄 Understand the use of splints (e.g., Michigan splints) and how to fabricate and adjust them effectively.

  • 🧩 Translate occlusal principles into solutions for simple, moderate and advanced clinical scenarios, including managing interferences and occlusal trauma.

    About the Instructor

    KUSHAL GADHIA

    Dr Kushal is a former Consultant and Honorary Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital and a Specialist in Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He qualified as a dentist from the University of Bristol in 2005. He was appointed as the Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital, between 2014 and 2024. Dr Kushal has won over 13 national and international awards for his commitment to dentistry. He was the Chair of the Young Practitioners Group for the British Society of Prosthodontics (BSSPD) between 2014-2018 and has held various positions within national dental societies including the British Society of Periodontology (BSP), British Society of Prosthodontics (BSSPD) and Specialist Registrar in Restorative Dentistry Group (SRRDG). He has organised various national and international study days and conferences, as well as being actively engaged in lecturing, teaching and research. He has published in over 20 peer-reviewed journals. In 2017, Kushal co-founded the Advanced Centre Of Excellence (ACE) to teach and provide postgraduate dental education to dentists.
